SmugMug > keywords > cider > 01/02/10 - Feeling Bubbley I was inspired yesterday by pitchingwedge 33 Paul Warkocki to get out a wine glass I bought a few months back with the intent of taking pictures with. He's been doing some wine glass shots this week, and between that and all the bubbley shots for New Years, I just had to give it a try myself. Well, I ended up going macro vs. sticking with the glass in the shot, but my shots were still a result of what I'd seen. This is sparkling apple cider in the glass along with partial color cobalt blue mini marbles. There's also a sparkly gold tablecloth under and behind the glass. I used an arm lamp with an incandescent light to light the glass. The original shots have about 5 of the marlbes in them, so I've cropped the original. Then, I used PSE7 to apply an SCurve action and spot heal some distracting white spots. Very rough night. Johnny came out crying around midnight with an ear infection. He had tubes when he was smaller. We'll be trying to get in to the pediatrician this morning. I'm pretty sure this thing going on with me for over a week now is strep. Unfortunately, that's a separate doctor's visit for me:-( I really had not planned on making the rounds to doctor's offices this AM. Oh well...could be worse. SmugMug > keywords > cider > 01/01/10 - Feeling a Little Bubbly Pull out a cool champagne glass. Put a neat metal thread gold-toned tablecloth under the glass and behind the glass on the wall. Set the whole thing under a lamp on top of a few Christmas decorations storage containers. Add some partial color cobalt blue mini marbles. Pour in sparkly and take pics. The foaming over wasn't real great, so I went with macro shots of the marble bubbles and sparkly bubbles. I used Picasa to tint the blue/gold photo to B&W, and I used PSE7 to spot heal some distracting spots. Oh, and it's cropped!
